In 1932, Sam Gould opened a small hair salon. He grew the business, creating salons that offered upscale ambiance, along with its professional salon services.

Today, sons David and Philip, own and operate the company. More than 70 years after the first salon opened its doors, over 300 Gould’s employees study to stay current with - and receive training in - the most fashion forward looks for men and women. Stylists consult with clients about their goals and desires for style, color and texture. Each category is given careful consideration before any changes are made.

In spring of 1997, another division of Gould's opened. Gould's Exchange, now with 2 locations, offers complete hair services at reduced prices. It also provides a tremendous resource for new stylists, allowing them the opportunity to work alongside Gould's highly trained stylists.

The Hair Replacement Studio, a division of Gould’s, is a private and separate facility. The staff offers expert assistance to anyone of any age, experiencing hair loss, with the use of custom fitted hairpieces.

Gould’s opened the first Day Spa in 1998, extending services from complete hair care, to total body care. A complete Menu of Services at each of the 4 Spa locations, offers a range of body treatments, massages, facials and other specialized beauty and cosmetic services.

Today, Gould’s Styling Salons owns and operates 12 locations, including 4 Day Spas, the Hair Replacement Studio and Gould's Exchange. Gould's continues to be recognized as a leader in the salon industry.

A new Gould’s Day Spa is scheduled to open in Spring 2006.
